19 killed in train-bus collision in Russia

MOSCOW: As many as 19 people were killed when a train hit the passenger bus that had broken down on a level crossing east of Moscow on Friday.

As per the Russian authorities, the incident occurred at night near the city of Vladimir some 110 kilometers east of the Moscow.

The local media reported that the Alexandre Kiryukhin confirmed that 19 people have been killed in the accident.

The interior ministry told media that the passenger bus broke down on the crossing level and the train traveling from the western city of Petersburg to east of Moscow and it hit the bus around 3.30am on Friday.
