KUNDUZ: At least nine Taliban gunmen were killed and 10 others wounded after separate airstrikes in Kunduz and Paktiya provinces of Afghanistan, Afghan army said Monday.
The A-29 aircrafts of Afghan National Army (ANA) targeted Taliban hideouts in Pashayee area of Dasht-e-Archi district, Kunduz province, killing six Taliban gunmen and wounding seven others, said Maj. Ghulam Hazrat, spokesman of ANA’s 20th Pameer Division in northeastern Afghanistan.
He told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) that two Taliban bases and their equipment were destroyed in the airstrikes.
Meanwhile, international forces’ unmanned aircraft killed three Taliban fighters and wounded as many in Chonai area of Zurmat district, Paktiya province, said Abdullah Hasrat, spokesman of Paktiya governor.
There was no word by Taliban in this regard.
