MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead two female workers of Shaheen Military Corps in northern Balkh province on Tuesday morning, an official said.
Police spokesman Adel Shah Adel told Pajhwok Afghan News two motorcyclists opened fire at a pick-up of Afghan National Army in limits of 5th police district in Mazar-i-Sharif City today morning. He said five people were injured, including four women in the attack, and evacuated to Shaheen Military Hospital.
But a source, wishing anonymity, said the vehicle carrying female workers of the military corps came under unknown armed men attack. The source said a number of military workers were suffered casualties in the early morning assault. Hanif Rizaee, spokesman for Shaheen Military Corps confirmed the attack and said two women were killed and three others wounded.
