2 Taliban commanders mysteriously killed

NANGARHAR (Khaama Press): Two Taliban commanders were reportedly discovered dead in the eastern Afghan provinces of Paktia and Nangarhar.
The commander’s body was reportedly found in a water canal according to a source in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan who spoke to the Afghan Islamic Press.
Saifullah, a Taliban commander whose body was discovered was known to be close with Amir Mufti Mazloum.
Another commander named Zakirain’s body was reportedly discovered in the province of Paktia, in eastern Afghanistan, according to the Afghan Islamic Press.
The killings of Taliban commanders in Afghanistan’s eastern regions have not yet elicited a response or remark from the Taliban administration in Afghanistan.
At the same time as a temporary ceasefire has been established, the Taliban administration in Afghanistan is mediating peace talks.
Earlier, on August 8, an Afghan roadside mine explosion killed Abdul Wali, also known as Omar Khalid Khorasani, a Taliban leader. Reports state that Khorasani strongly supported the Taliban during talks with officials.
This comes as US President Joe Biden stated that a CIA drone operation killed Al-Qaeda chief, Ayman al-Zawahiri, in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, amid growing concerns about the resurgence of terrorism in Afghanistan.
