21 gamblers held with cash, other valuables

PESHAWAR: The police arrested 21 gamblers betting on final of the PSL 3 played between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United here Sunday-Monday midnight.

Under the supervision of DSP City, the police team comprising SHO Khan Razziq Shaheed police station Muhammad Noor Khan, ASI Taj Mir Shah and police contingent raided Taj Mahal Hotel in Peshawar city.

During raid, 13 gamblers involved in gambling on PSL3 final including Badshah, Shah Wazir, Javed, Adnan, Akbar Shah, Farman, Adnan Khan, Sher Muhammad, Fakkhar Zaman, Jehan Akbar, Afsar Ali, Ghani Rehman, Imran and others were arrested.

Headed by DSP Regi, Rahim Hussain Khan, the police in yet another raid arrested eight gamblers including Masil Khan, Jhonson, Talib, Hazrat Gul, Noman, Saeed and Khanzada.

The police recovered cash, colour televisions, cards and other gambling material from possession of the detainees who were being interrogated after registering separate cases against them at concerned police stations.
