LAHORE: In a shocking development, as many as 21 schoolchildren have tested positive for the coronavirus in the country during the last 24 hours, forcing the authorities to go for extreme measures, on Tuesday.
The Education Department had to close Government Girls’ High School at Makli, Thatta for five days (from January 24 to January 28) following 18 students were diagnosed with the virus there.
The department has also issued a show-cause notice to the school administration for keeping the school open despite the detection of cases of the pandemic there.
Three children test positive for Covid-19 in Lahore:
Similarly, three students of Government Higher Secondary School, Krishan Nagar, Lahore have also been found infected with the virus.
