25 lady workers of garment factory injured in road accident

HAFIZABAD: As many as 25 lady workers of a ready-made garments mills were injured, seven of them seriously when their bus collided head-on with a tractor-trolley on Pindi Bhattian road near Thatha Kheru Mutmal, 30-km from here today.

According to Rescue-1122, a bus No LGR-1660 was carrying 25 lady workers from Pindi Bhattian to Crescent Bahu Maan Mills and when it reached near Thatha Kheru Matmal, it rammed against a tractor-trolley coming from opposite direction, resulting into injuries to all the 25 lady workers who were shifted to the THQ Hospital Pindi Bhattian from where Zahida Bibi, Nasira Bibi, Sumaira, Fozia, Tahira, Abida and another unidentified woman were referred to Allied Hospital Faisalabad in critical condition.

According to injured, the mishap took place due to over speeding and careless driving by the bus driver. The police have registered a case against both the drivers and are investigating.
