3 killed, six injured in highway crash

KABUL (Ariana News): Three people were killed and six others were injured after a vehicle ran off the road at Mahipar on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway on Saturday evening, officials said on Sunday.

The Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan said in a statement that when the vehicle careered off the road, a rockslide was triggered.

This resulted in a number of other vehicles also being damaged.

The three people who died in the incident included a woman and a child. The injured people were taken to hospital.

The highway reopened after a short closure.
