3 school children receive bullet injuries in Dir

TIMERGARA: Three students who were going to their school in a Suzuki pickup were injured when the alleged accused opened indiscriminate fire on his rival at Danwa area in the limits of Timergara police station here on Monday morning, residents and police said.

The injured students Ishall 9, Mah Noor 11 and Yaseen 13 were taken to the DHQ hospital Timergara where their condition is stated to be out of danger. The sources said that one Tariq Wahab son of Abdul Wahab, a resident of Danwa opened fire on his rival Ali son of Sabar Khan after an exchange of harsh words over a petty issue. The children’ vehicle came in the line of fire that resulted in their injuries.

The Timergara police registered a case and arrested the accused’ s father Abdul Wahab. The residents said that the repair of a power tranformer in the village was cause of the incident. Meanwhile the assistant commissioner Shahzad Khan visited the hospital and met the children injured in the Danwa firing case.

The official directed the hospital staff to leave no stone unturned in their treatment. He was informed that the condition of the children was out of danger.
