BALKH (BNA): Local officials in Balkh province have announced the establishment of 300 new manufacturing factories since the Islamic Emirate took power.
Emamuddin Sanaeezada, head of the Chamber of Industries and Mines of Balkh, reported that this development has increased the total number of factories in the province to 2,000.
The newly established factories primarily focus on producing beverages, plastic containers, construction iron rods (rebar), detergents, cakes and cookies, plastic slippers, and more.
Sanaeezada emphasized that Balkh is on track to become a significant industrial hub in northern Afghanistan. He noted that with continued support, the production capacity of these factories is expected to grow even further, contributing to the region’s economic development.
