30pc decline in Internet price promised in 1398

Monitoring Desk

KABUL: The Minister of Telecommunications and Information and Technology on Wednesday said the internet price would be reduced by a 30 percent with the start of 1398 solar year.

Shahzadah Arubi made the announcement while inaugurating an internet page “Asan Wazifa” (Easy Job) here on Wednesday. He said the page had been approved by the High Economic Council ten days back.

“We have been working together with telecommunication firms to sign an agreement on a 30 percent decrease in the 3G and 4G internet packages in upcoming few days.”

He identified Afghanistan’s location as one of the most fundamental problems, saying they had to pay to neighbors in the area of fiber optic transmission, which has a high impact on the prices.

Shahzadah Arubi further said government organizations could announce vacancies through the Internet page “Asan Wazifa” (www.asanwazifa.gov.af) and applicants also could easily apply for their interested post through the page.

According to him, the applicants could provide their information online in the page and organizations could pick eligible from there. He said the applicants would be informed back via email. (Pajhwok)
