31 Taliban militants killed, wounded; 2 captured Humvees destroyed in Takhar

TAKHAR: The security forces killed 19 Taliban militants during a clash in Takhar province of Afghanistan.

The Special Forces Operations Corps in a statement said the Afghan Special Forces the militants were killed in Khwaja Ghar district during the clearance operations.

The statement further added that the Special Forces fullhy cleared the district from the presence of Taliban militants.

The Special Forces also wounded 12 Taliban militants and destroyed two captured Humvee armored personnel carriers.

The Taliban militants have not commented regarding the operation so far.
