320 criminal cases recorded in December

KABUL (TOLOnews): The spokesman for the Kabul Department of Security, Khalid Zadran, said that at least 320 criminal cases have been recorded within one month in the capital. According to Zadran, more than 250 people linked to these crimes have been detained in the same period. “Around 320 criminal cases have been recorded in the Kabul department of security within one month… in one month there have been 12 murder cases,” he said. This comes as the residents of Kabul expressed concerns over the rise of criminal activities especially murder. They called on the interim government to take efforts to counter the criminal activities in the city. “Now after 8:00 PM, if you walk in the street, they will take everything from you. I ask the government to make good efforts in security, so that the people can go to their work, school and back home peacefully,” said Abdul Jabar, a resident of Kabul. “The security was good previously. There has been some insecurity recently and also target murders happened. Someone cannot go out after 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM,” said Mohammad Daud, a resident of Kabul. In the past weeks, several people were targeted and murdered by unknown gunmen in various parts of the country.
