326 doctors hit by COVID-19, five die in KP
PESHAWAR: Around 326 doctors have so far affected from COVID-19 in KP while five doctors have so far lost their lives while fighting the pandemic.
This was stated in a statement issued by Young Doctors Association Khyber Paktunkhwa. The statement said that more than 100 doctors working in gyne wards of different hospitals have also been affected.
It further said that in Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar around 74 doctors were so far affected from Corona while in Khyber Teaching Hospital 45′ Hayatabad Medical Complex 29, Ayub Medical Complex 23 while in other districts hospitals doctors were also affected from COVID-19.
The further added that there were no personal protective measures for the doctors in hospitals while their lives were on the risk while performing their duty on the front.
They also added that despite that some people and their attendant misbehaved with doctors and even some unusual incidents were happened with doctors, adding and demanding the government to provide security to the doctors in hospitals and make secure their life.
