KABUL: Scores of Taliban militants have been killed during the operations of the Afghan Special Forces and airstrikes in Nangarhar, Laghman, Ghazni, and Uruzgan province.
The informed military sources said Afghan Special Forces conducted a raid in Gandomak area of Nangarhar province killing 11 Taliban fighters and destroying 400 pounds of hashish.
The sources further added that the Afghan Special Forces conducted a similar raid in Achin district of Nangarhar killing 35 Taliban fighters and destroying 7 IEDs.
However, the 201st Silab Corps in a statement said 35 ISIS Khurasan militants have been killed in Achin operations.
At least 11 Taliban fighters including one of their commanders were killed during the airstrikes in Mehtar Lam district of Laghman province, the sources said adding that Afghan Special Forces conducted a raid in Bashi village of Ghani province killing 1 Taliban fighter.
The sources also added that 14 Taliban militants were killed during the airstrikes which were conducted in Tarin Kot city, the provincial capital of Uruzgan province.
The anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far. (Khaama Press)
