4.8 magnitude earthquake jolt parts of Balochistan

QUETTA: An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 jolted different parts of Balochistan on Saturday.

According to geological wing of Pakistan Meteorologist Department (PMD), tremours measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale were felt in Quetta, Sibi, and other districts of Balochistan.

People of the areas where the quake was felt rushed out of their homes, shops and other buildings while reciting prayers.

The quake caused minor damages to some dilapidated houses and buildings in some districts.

However, no human losses or injuries were reported from anywhere.

The epi-centre was of the quake was stated to be 72 kilometer South-West of Quetta deep inside the earth crust.
