ISLAMABAD: The fast-spreading deadly coronavirus in the country have stalled life in the whole country and on Wednesday 208 new confirmed cases of the virus reported and the tally of the infections reached to 4,183 with 4 new deaths reported according to the statistics shared by the Ministry of National Health Services (NHS).
According to the details Punjab is still leading the number of more infections from the covid-19 and in past 24 hours, 128 new confirmed cases reported from the province due to which the tally of total infection of coronavirus reached to 2132 as well one death reported from the province. The NHS ministry added that 3,076 new screening done in past 24 hours while total screening conducted since the outbreak of the virus are 42,159.
The data added that 27 new cases reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to which the number of total infections reached to 527 while one death reported from the province in past 24 hours, the statistics added no new cases reported from Sindh in past 24 hours.
In Baluchistan 4 new coronavirus reported from the province due to which the infection number reached to 206 while one death reported from Baluchistan.
The ministry statistics added that till yet 58 people died from the infections while 25 patients of the covid-19 are in critical nature adding that a total of 467 patients recovered from the infections across the country.
AJ&K and Giligit Baltistan reported 10 & 1 new confirmed cases which reached the national tally in both territories to 28 & 212 while no death reported from any territory.
In federal capital Islamabad 9 new cases reported in past 24 hours and now the total patients of the infection reached to 93 with one death reported. An official of the Health Ministry told Frontier Post that in coming few days the tally of the coronavirus will reach to 6000 with more than 100 deaths, he added that in first week of the month we reported more than 2,000 cases in country it doesn’t shows that infection are increasing in the country but its due to the more number of screening of the suspects. He added that in month of March we conducted less number of screening due to various hindrance but now we are doing more than 2,000 screening daily and that’s why more number of cases reported in the province.
