4 IS gunmen joins peace process

SHEBERGHAN: Four Islamic State fighters, including a prison official joined hands with the peace process in Darzaab district in Jawzjan province on Sunday.

These gunmen were active against the Afghan government in Darzaab district, Jawzjan security in-charge Abdul Hafiz Khashi told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP). A prison official of Daesh identified as Naimatullah and his three friends joined the peace process in Darzaab district, he said. They handed over their weapons to the authorities concerned.

On the occasion, Abdul Hafiz Khashi asked other armed opponents to join the path of peace.

The Islamic State has not said anything in this regard so far.
