45 gunmen, three afghan soldiers suffer casualties in separate operations

KHOST/SHEBERGHAN: At least 45 gunmen and three Afghan security officials were killed or injured in different operations conducted in Paktiya and Faryab provinces.

Abdullah Hasrat, spokesman of provincial governor told media that the Resolute Support Troops conducted airstrike on Taliban hideouts in Lakarai area in Zazi Aryub district of Paktiya province.

He confirmed that thirteen Taliban fighters including a commander were killed in the bombardment.
Similarly, 21 gunmen were killed and 11 others injured in
a clashes with the Afghan forces and in airstrikes against them   in Daulatabad, Shirin Tagab and Khawaja Sabz Posh districts over the past 24 hours.

However three security officials were also killed in the gunfight.

The armed opponents have not said anything in this regard so far.
