PESHAWAR: District administration has arrested 46 persons for profiteering, poor cleanliness condition and erecting encroachments during crackdown in different areas of the district on Tuesday.
The arrested persons were included fresh milk sellers, proprietors of restaurants, grocers, vegetable & fruit sellers and encroachment mafia.
On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Islamzeb, a team of the district administration headed by Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC), Fazal Rahim conducted raids on different restaurants, fast-foods, milk sellers and other shopkeepers in Yakatoot, Superior Science College Road, Circular Road.
The team arrested 28 persons for violation of meat-holiday, poor cleanliness conditions, encroachments and profiteering. Similarly, AACs, Tariq Hussain and Javed Anwar Kamal carried out checking in Hussain Chowk, Government College Chowk, Dalazak Road and Ring Road and arrested 18 persons.
