48 people dead in Kabul suicide blast
KABUL: Forty-eight people were killed and 67 others injured in a suicide blast on Mahdavi Mawoudi private training centre in the Dash-i-Barchi locality of capital Kabul on Wednesday afternoon, health official said.
Waheedullah Majroh, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health, told Afghan media 25 dead and 35 injured had been evacuated to the hospitals from the site of the blast,
Police Spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai confirmed the attack which took place at around 4:00pm in the limits of 18th police district.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani strongly condemned that suicide attack and said the terrorists while attacking the cultural and educational centres demonstrated that they were the enemy of Islam and teaching of prophet (PBUH).
Taliban Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid distanced himself from the attack and said the Taliban have nothing to do with the blast.
