Afghanistan is the region’s most natural disaster-prone area, including earthquakes, landslides, floods, avalanches and heavy rain.

Recently, the frequent earthquake in the country, particularly in Faizabad’s capital city of Badakhshan, has increased people’s concerns.

Additional safety measures and safeguards are needed to lessen the severity of the disaster due to the frequent natural disasters, especially earthquakes, that affect the nation, including the northeast and northern regions.
