PESHAWAR: Five members of a family were killed in an armed attack in Lala Kalay area of Peshawar on late Monday night.
According to sources, some unidentified armed men barged into the house of an agricultural department official Yahya in Lala Kalay area and opened fire on the family members. As a result, a man, Yahya, his wife Kainat, sister-in-law Esha, two minor kids, Shoaib, and Zohaib, suffered severe bullet injures and died on the spot. However the motive behind killings is not yet clear.
Soon after the incident, police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.Police have registered FIR and started further investigation.
