PESHAWAR: District administration demolished more than 50 illegal shops during operation against encroachments on Inqilab Road on Wednesday.
According to details, on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Peshawar Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Qaiser Khan Kundi along with the officials of Town Municipal Administration (TMA), Town-IV through heavy machinery carried out anti-encroachment operation on Inqilab Road and surrounding areas.
During the operation, the administration demolished more than 50 illegally constructed shops. On this occasion, heavy contingent of police were also deployed to avert any pleasant incident. The general public extended full cooperation to administration.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner directed all Additional Assistant Commissioners for the identification of encroachments and then conduct an operation against them.
He has also warned all encroachment mafias to voluntarily remove their encroachments. Otherwise, stern action would be taken against them.
