55 militants killed in Kandahar: Tadin Khan

KANDAHAR: The security forces killed at least 55 Taliban militants during the operations in past three days in Kandahar.

The Police Chief of Kandahar Gen. Tadin Khan Achakzai said the security forces killed the militants in Takhta Pul, Shahwali Kot, Arghistan, Mianshin and Maiwand districts.

Gen. Tadin Khan further added that several foreign militants mainly hailing from foreign were also among those killed.

He also added that the militants have shifted the dead bodies of some of their comrades to the other side of Durand Line while some are still left in the battlefield.

The Taliban militants have not commented in this regard so far. (Khaama Press)
