6.3 magnitude quake hits eastern Japan

TOKYO:  The US Geological Survey confirmed that an earthquake measuring 6.3 hit the eastern coast of Japan on Friday, the US Geological Survey said.

US Geological Survey added that the quake struck 300 km (180 miles) east of Iwaki, Honshu, at a depth of 77.8 km, and there were immediately no causalities or damages were reported
