PESHAWAR: District administration Peshawar Thursday arrested 63 persons from different parts of the district for profiteering and poor cleanliness conditions.
The arrested peresons were included butchers, nanbais, fruit & vegetable vendours, grocers, milkmen, cooked tea sellers and encroachment mafia.
On the directives of the DC the AAC Tariq Hussain conducted raids in Ghanta Ghar and its sorrounding areas and checked various shops, restaurants, cook tea sellers and others and arrested 16 persons for profiteering, selling adulterated tea leaf and a bakery for poor cleanliness condiitions.
Similarly, AAC Hamayun Khan conducted raids in Nauthia, Gulberg and Sarband areas and arrested 22 persons for profiteering and erecting of encroachments while AAC Javed Anwar Kamal arrested 12 persons for profiteering, erecting of encroachments and poor cleanliness conditions.
Furthermore, AAC Qaiser Khan Kundi carried out checking on University Road areas and arrested 6 persons for erecting encroachments and overcharging of consumers. The AAC Inayatullah Khan conducted raids on G.T. Road areas and arrested 7 shopkeepers for profiteering and encroachments.
