PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) KP provincial president Engineer Amir Muqam has said that the founder of Pakistan was an advocate and lawyers were also at the forefront of rescuing Pakistan from the current crisis.
PML-N said that lawyers would play vital role to get rid of this incompetent government. He said that lawyers have a huge responsibility to uphold the rule of law and the constitution. He was addressing lawyers at Peshawar High Bar.
On this occasion, 66 lawyers including Shahid Raza Malik, a member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, resigned from different political parties and announced to join PML-N. Most of them were women and young lawyers. Amir Muqam said that he was very happy to see a large number of Muslim League lawyers today and that the future of the party was bright. “Lawyers have an important place in society,” he said.
PML-N welcomed the lawyers joining the party and said that their participation would further strengthen the party. He said that after reviewing the performance of the present incompetent government and PML-N, people are joining PML-N which is a sign of confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif. He said that the eyes of the people are on PML-N because it is the only party capable of rescuing them from crises.
Emir Muqam said that wrong policies of the government have endangered the very existence of the country and it is in the interests of the nation to get rid of it. Therefore, all the people should come out and play their role to get rid of this incompetent government. He said that the government has targeted the media, judiciary and opposition in its fascist activities.
PML-N Pakhtunkhwa president said that those who have swindled dollars on the face of IMF have made the country a slave of IMF and now the state of Pakistan is helpless before the State Bank of Pakistan and it will follow the footsteps of foreign powers. That the party organizations across the province to be active so that the next election to be a complete success he added. PMLN Lawyers Forum President Tariq Afridi, Bar Council member Shahid Raza Malik and others also addressed on the occasion.
