66 new COVID-19 confirmed cases in Afghanistan, total 1,092

KABUL (TOLO News): 66 new positive coronavirus cases have been reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the total cases to 1,092, said Wahidullah Mayar, a spokesman for the Health Ministry.

The 66 new positive coronavirus cases have been reported in Kabul (52), Laghman (5), Baghlan (4), Nangarhar (4) and Paktia (1) in the past 24 hours, according to Health Ministry.

There were 66 new cases out of 311 tested, and the rest were negative, according to Mayar, who added that 15 people have recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours and so far there there have been no new reported deaths.

The number of deaths from the COVID-19 disease globally is more than 170,368, and more than 2.4 million have been infected with the virus, according to Johns Hopkins University.
