GHAZNI CITY: Nearly 70 people have been arrested in connection with different crimes in southern Ghazni province of Afghanistan, police said.
Police chief Col. Farid Ahmad Mashal told in a press conference here that 39 individuals were captured over having cooperation with Taliban militants and the rest 46 were involved in robberies, harassment, domestic violence and in some other crimes.
He said three policemen were also among the detainees.
The detainees had confessed to their crimes and referred to judicial organs for further investigation, Mashal added.
Police chief Col. Farid Ahmad Mashal urged residents of Ghazni to help police capture such people for the sake of improvement in the security situation.
