7 Taliban killed, 11 injured in Jawzjan province

JAWZJAN: The security forces carried out preemptive operations against the Taliban militants in northern Jawzjan province, killing at least 7 militants, the Afghan military said.

The 209th Shaheen Corps in a statement said the Taliban militants launched attacks against the security posts in Tapa Dew area of Khamab district.

The statement further added that the security forces acted carried out preemptive operations against the attacks, killing at least 7 militants and wounding 11 others.

The security forces also took control of Tapa Dew area which is considered as a strategic area in the district, the statement added.

The Taliban group has not commented in this regard so far. (Khaama Press)
