MOSCOW (TASS): About 8.12 billion rubles will be additionally allocated for the construction of the museum complex of the Tretyakov Gallery on the Kadashevskaya Embankment in Moscow. The corresponding order was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said on Saturday.
“An additional 8.12 billion rubles will be invested in the construction of a new building of the Tretyakov Gallery on Kadashevskaya Embankment in Moscow,” the statement said.
The total cost of the complex under construction will be 15.7 billion rubles, its area will exceed 35 thousand square meters. m. “In addition to exhibition spaces, restoration workshops, storage facilities, conference rooms with the latest equipment will be located in the new building,” the press service said.
The opening of the building on Kadashevskaya Embankment will expand the exhibition and display areas of the Tretyakov Gallery. Moreover, such changes will help form “a new point of attraction on the cultural map of the capital,” the press service said.
The cash reserve and the completion of construction are indicated in the document for 2024. During this time, it is planned to complete the complex of finishing works and equip the museum with the necessary engineering and multimedia equipment.
