8 killed in Helmand blast

HELMAND: At least eight civilians were killed and two others were wounded in a roadside mine blast in Helmand province on Wednesday, provincial police said.

The incident happened in Nahr-e-Saraj district of the province after a vehicle struck a roadside mine, said Zaman Hamdard, a spokesman for the provincial police chief. “Women and children are also among the victims, and all the victims are members of one family,” he said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.(TOLOnews)
