8 prisoners of Dera Jail released

D.I.KHAN (APP): Eight prisoners of the District Central Jail Dera have been released following the presidential announcement of remission in the sentences of prisoners on the occasion of Independence Day of Pakistan.
According to the details, on the occasion of Independence Day, President Dr. Arif Alvi announced the remission in the sentences of prisoners.
After which the release orders of eight prisoners of the District Central Jail Dera were issued, while a total of 67 prisoners were benefited under the concession given by the president.
It worth to be mentioned here that the special remission would not be extended to those prisoners who are on death row and convicted in major crimes including espionage, gang rape, bank robbery and anti-state activities.
