KABUL: As many as eight Taliban fighters were killed and six otehrs were injrued in the Maidan Wardak province of Afghanistan during the clash between the secuirty forces and Taliban.
The clash was started on Sunday in Syedabad district of Maidan Wardak, provincial police commandant confirmed in a statement to media. He added that group of Taliban fighters attacked on security posts and started gun fighting with Afghan forces at least eight were killed and six were injured in during the clash.
A member of the Afghan National Police (ANP) forces also sustained injuries during the clashes, officials added.
However, the Taliban did not comment on this so far regarding the lost of Taliban in the clashes. Miadan Wardak is one of the unstable provinces in the central part of the country which is close to Capital Kabul.
The armed militants are operating various parts of the province and frequently carrying their activities against the forces and challenging government writ in these parts.
