Over 800 operations postponed in 11 days due to doctors strike in PIMS

ISLAMABAD: Doctors and Paramedics staff of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) continued their protest on eleventh day on Sunday and demanding separation of the hospital from Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University.

More than 800 operations were postponed since the protest was started in PIMS though the emergency and serious health units were remained open of the hospital.

The protestors while talking to media person said that PIMS providing free treatment to thousands of patients for free and it is injustice now that university will decide who will get treatment and who doesn’t.

The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) minister has handed the protesters’ demands to the law minister.
