LAHORE: At least 8000 policemen will be deployed in Lahore as former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is gearing up to visit Lahore for the first time after disqualification, sources said on Friday.
Nawaz Sharif is expected to reach Lahore on August-6. Inside-aware told our correspondent that 50 teams of elite forces would also be deployed on occasion.
Similarly, personnel of special branch and security forces would also be deployed on the route whereas aerial inspection of route would also be carried out in bid to avoid any untoward situation. Officials are also mulling to suspend mobile signals and a decision in this regard would be taken today in a high-level meeting.
