MUMBAI: Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of Hollywood hit Forrest Gump. Besides Amir Khan, the Hindi version also stars Kareena Kapoor. There have been talks of Vijay Sethupathi being a part of the movie but nothing was made official. But now, the actor himself confirmed his presence in the film.
It so happened that Vijay was present at an interview along with Manoj Bajpayee, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurrana and Parvathy. During the interaction, the biggest stars of the film industry talked in length about cinema and topics that go beyond cinema. It was during one such conversation when actor Vijay began to talk about the Hindi language being a barrier and Manoj jumped in to confirm that Vijay indeed is a part of Laal Singh Chaddha.
Vijay, meanwhile, talked about that when it comes to doing films in industries other than Tamil and Telugu, his major fears are language and culture. The actor stressed the fact that one can still get a hold of language, but it’s equally important to understand the nuances of the culture of the film industry they are stepping in. “Anyone can learn the language easily, culture is very important. Only through culture, we can connect with the audience,” he said.
As for Laal Singh Chaddha, the first poster featuring Aamir in and as Laal Singh Chaddha did pique our interest in the film. Helmed by Advait Chandan, produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao through Aamir Khan Productions along with Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Laal Singh Chaddha is all set to hit the screens on December 25, 2020.
