Abhishek Bachchan to play villain opposite Kamal Haasan in Indian 2

MUMBAI: The last big update we gave you on South hitmaker Shankar’s Indian 2 was that Khiladi Akshay Kumar will be playing the villain opposite Kamal Haasan in the film.

A sequel to Kamal Haasan’s 1996 starrer Indian, the shoot for Indian 2 has already kick-started and if the latest reports are to be believed, there’s another Bollywood star joining in. We hear Abhishek Bachchan has been roped in for an important part in the film alongside Kamal Haasan.

Indian 2 is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions banner. While the original movie had Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar opposite Haasan, Indian 2 stars Siddharth and Kajal Aggarwal ias well. For those of you who don’t know Kamal Haasan even bagged the National Award in Best Actor category for Indian in 1996.

Meanwhile, we wait to hear an official confirmation from Abhishek on joining the star cast of Indian 2. The film’s new posters featured Senapati aka Haasan as ‘older, wiser and deadlier.’
