Accessing to information right of nation: Farahi

KABUL (Agencies): Deputy Publication of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mohajer Farahi, during the first meeting on access to information, said accessing to information is right of the nation, adding that reliable information can boost trust between the people and the government.
The first meeting of accessing to information attended by several officials including, Mawlai Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Bilal Karimi, the deputy spokesperson, the spokespersons of the ministries and independent journalists.
In this meeting, the head Information to Access Department, Hedayatullah Hedayat, expressed his commitment that the said department will spare no effort in fulfilling its responsibilities.
Mohajir Farahi, underlined saying that accessing to information is the right of a nation, adding that reliable information can create strong trust between the people and government.
Meanwhile, Bilal Karimi Urged, the spokespersons of the ministries, to spare no efforts in disseminating information and reaching the public in object to allowed rumors.
He asked the spokespersons of the ministries to share information with the media on time so that the nation and the media do not face any daily in accessing information.
The participants shared their advices, requests and suggestions in terms of access to information in the end of the meeting, according to a statement.
Its mentionable that the Ex-Commission for Access to Information has now started its operations, under direction of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
