Accountability courts continues with bailable warrants against Ishaq Dar as he fails to appear in court

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was failed to appear in the accountability court hearing corruption reference against him and the court ordered to continue his bailable arrest warrant after failing to appear before the court on Thursday.

The accountability court resume the hearing in the corruption case despite that finance minister Ishaq Dar and his lead counsel Khawaja Harris was not present in the court. Ayesha Hamid presented the case in the absence of Khawaja Harris.

Four witnesses, officials of various private banks and NAB team were present in the court. Lawyers of Ishaq Dar submitted the medical certificate of minister and demanded an exemption from today’s appearance and the court was informed that Ishaq Dar is in London for medical treatment.

However the NAB Prosecutor opposed the request and demanded non-bailable arrest warrants..

Later the court rejected the exemption request but did not issue non-bailable warrants and instead ordered that the bailable warrants of Ishaq Dar

Court was informed the detailed medical examination of Ishaq Dar will be conducted on Friday after that his return date will be finalized.

The court adjourned the hearing until November 8.
