Acting Chief of Central Bank injured in traffic accident

FARAH (Khaama Press): Following a traffic accident on the Herat-Kandahar highway, Hidayatullah Badri, the acting head of the Taliban Central Bank, was injured, and his driver died. The incident occurred on Friday, near the Herat-Kandahar highway, specifically within the Farah province. According to the report, after the traffic accident, the acting head of the Taliban Central Bank was swiftly evacuated from the scene via helicopter. The Central Bank has confirmed that this incident resulted from the overturning of Hadayatollah Badri’s vehicle. Central Bank officials have confirmed that Mr Badri is in good health and have expressed satisfaction with this outcome. In recent times, there has been a substantial rise in traffic accidents nationwide. In a similar incident last Friday, local officials reported that six individuals, including a Taliban commander named “Durran,” lost their lives due to a traffic accident in the Yawan district of Badakhshan province. Two others were injured. It is worth noting that in most cases, the primary causes of traffic accidents in the country have been driver negligence, failure to adhere to traffic laws, excessive speeding, and road damage.
