Said Qureshi, “They’re playing this film for an event organised by Om Puri’s foundation.”

The screening will be a part of the inauguration of the Om Puri Foundation, about which Nandita Puri has said, “We will be announcing the Om Puri scholarship and fellowship through which we wish to take his legacy forward.”

Added Qureshi, “They also invited us but we couldn’t go because of the Load Wedding release. We’re glad though and I hope people like it there. We can’t say anything about Load Wedding’s release in India due to the political atmosphere but yeah, private screenings like this do happen, which is good.”

Actor in Law, Om Puri’s first and only Pakistani film, could not be released in India due to his tragic passing. The late veteran actor did not charge a single penny for the production.

“I’m honoured that I got a chance to work with Puri sahib,” said the filmmaker.
