AD & SJ confirms interm bails of PTI’s activists

PESHAWAR: Additional District and Session Judge (AD&SJ) Peshawar Aftab Iqbal confirmed interm bail to five activists including Member Provincial Assembly Fazal Elahi and former Nazim Peshawar Arbab Asim for holding protest in Red Zone, on Monday.

According to prosecution, MPA Fazal Elahi, Former Nazim Arbab Asim, Ahmad Salim, Mina Khan and Ayaz arranged protest at Red Zone Khyber Road, Peshawar following firing on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally.

Hundreds of PTI’s activists protested in Red Zone while throwing stones on security force’s vehicles and jumped into the vehicles whom videos have been viral on social media.

Latterly, police conducted investigation in this regard while nominated Fazal Elahi, Arbab Asim, Mina Khan, Ayaz and Ahmad Salim for holding protest in Red Zone, Khyber Road Peshawar and registered a case against them.

The counsel Ali Zaman Advocate appeared before court and argued the case while requested for confirmation of in-term bail.

AD&SJ Peshawar Aftab Iqbal confirmed in-term bail after conclusion of arguments to MPA Fazal Elahi, Arbab Asim, Mina Khan, Ayaz and Ahmad Salim.
