Administration imposes smart lockdown in Karachi’s seven UCs
KARACHI: Smart lockdown was imposed in seven Union Councils (UCs) of District East in Karachi at 12:00midnight (night between Friday and Saturday) to stop the spread of coronavirus.
According to Deputy Commissioner, smart lockdown was imposed in six Union Councils of Gulshan-e-Iqbal and one union council of Jamshed Town of East District of Karachi.
A notification issued in this regard said that the smart lockdown will remain in force till July 18 and it will be ensured that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed in the affected UCs of District East.
Meanwhile, the movement of residents in the affected UCs will be restricted. All the shops except medical stores, grocery stores, vegetable and fruit shops and dairy shops will remain closed in these areas.
