KABUL: The personnel of the Afghan National Army (ANA) foiled militants bid to fire two rockets on Kabul city, the Afghan Military said in a statement. The 111th Division of the Afghan Army in a statement said the Afghan armed forces discovered and defused two BM-1 rockets during a patrol in the capital.
The statement further added that the Afghan armed forces were patrolling in Tarakhel Village of Deh Sabz district when they found the two rockets which the militants had prepared to launch on Kabul city.
The Explosives Ordnance Disposal team of the Afghan military defused the two rockets and subsequently detonated them before the militants could fire them on Kabul city, the statement added.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented in this regard so far. (Khaama Press)
