Afghan athlete wins silver

KABUL: An Afghan athlete based in Finland Sayed Anil Hussaini has won a silver medal in 2019 Classic National Fitness Championship.

Hussaini is due to travel to Spain on first of May to participate in another international fitness competition.

Following his victory in Finland’s Classic National Fitness Championship, Hussaini said he was proud to be an Afghan and is eager to show to European countries and the world that Afghan athletes are also capable and talented.

This comes as Afghan athletes based in the country and other nations have made great strides in various fields of sports on domestic and international level during the recent years.

Bodybuilding and fitness sport are a popular field in which various Afghan athletes including Hussaini have had major achievements. (Khaama Press)
