Afghan forces handover three COVID 19 effectees to Pak officials at Torkham border

LANDI KOTAL: The Afghan security forces handed over three Pakistan nationals suspecting of coronavirus effectees here on Wednesday.

According to Deputy Commissioner, Khyber, Mehmood Aslam Wazir, the three Pakistani were received at Torkham border on Wednesday and according to lab tests, carried out in Afghanistan, two were coronavirus infected while their other colleague was suspected.

The two COVID 19 patients identified as Farooq Shah, Sirajuddin and a suspected Shehzad Mustafa who were employees in medicine company in Afghanistan were shifted to Leading Reading Hospital, Peshawar for treatment.

On the request of the Pakistan embassy in Kabul, the three effected Pakistani citizens were given away to Pakistan officials at Torkham border, the official told.
