Afghan forces starts operation against militants in Baghlan

BAGHLAN: Afghan forces started a large-scale operation against the militant groups in Baghlan province of Afghanistan with the aim to clear the area from the militants as they were continuously attacking the forces and civilian

Military officials told local afghan media that operation named, Alburz-22, was launched earlier today in Dand-e-Shahabuddin area.

According to military statement, the Afghan forces are currently conducting clearance and search operations in Baba Nazar and Khalazayi villages.

Several militants including key members and commanders of the anti-government armed militants were killed in similar operations in this province earlier this month.
