Afghan, Iranian border officials meet in Herat to resolve issues

KABUL (Ariana News): Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense says border officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) and Iran held a meeting at Islam Qala in Herat province to discuss border issues and ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
This meeting was held at the headquarters of Herat Provincial Commissionerate under the chairmanship of Brigadier General Mohammad Rahim Khadim, the commander of the 5th Frontier Brigade of the 207th Al-Farooq Army Corps. A delegation of Iranian border officials also attended.
The ministry said that in this meeting, the two sides, in addition to exchanging views on strengthening cooperation and border issues, also discussed ways to solve existing problems.
IEA officials assured the Iranian delegation that they are prepared to cooperate in any way in order to establish good relations with neighboring countries.
Also, the Iranian delegation expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation of the border forces of the Ministry of National Defense.
